Disneyland Family Vacation: Day 1

We are back from our Disneyland trip! We had so much fun as a family. This was such a last minute, on again - off again trip but I'm so grateful we went. Over the next few days I'll share the highlights of our trip. Enjoy!

Adventures of Day 1:

*We left at 5:30 am on Saturday morning. Oye. That's early. Don't kid yourself thinking that Emmy went back to sleep once in the car. Ha. You know that Disney commercial where the little boy says "but I'm too excited to sleep!" That was Emmy. The. entire. drive. Luckily she was pretty happy.
*We ate at In-N-Out for the first time (in Vegas). Cheeseburgers and Animal Style fries. Good stuff. We got there at 11am (Utah time). Forgot about the time change. The doors were locked but the amazing employees opened up early for us and fed us! We heart them! In fact we heart them so much, we stopped at the same one on our way back through Vegas. The cashier even remembered us!
* Got to Anaheim around 3:30pm. Sooooo hot. We went swimming.
* Left for Downtown Disney and the car broke down in the parking lot. Well, it was still drivable, just difficult with no power steering. Oh the stress. (everything turned out fine - car was covered under warranty it turned out and we didn't pay a dime).

This was at Downtown Disney - it's called Splash Animals. Very very cool.

Jeremy and Emmy eating Beignets at the New Orleans Cafe. Oh so yummmm. Best food ever invented.

Giant Lego Giraffe. Emmy asked if we could take him home. Probably not honey.

Daddy with Darth Vadar in Lego form. Daddy was in heaven in this store. How we walked out of there empty handed, I will never know.

Stay tuned tomorrow for more exciting things like Jeremy's birthday, meeting Minnie Mouse, lunch with Goofy, and so much more.

Have a magical day!
