You asked...I'll answer....

Em with her great-grandmother. I cherish this picture.

Posey asked: How many kids would you like in your family? (thanks Posey, so glad you found my new blog!)

Great question! I wish I knew the answer! Lol! When Jeremy and I were first engaged/married and reality was still something we hadn't yet grasped, we said we really wanted 5 or 6 kids. Reality then came flooding in (or we can call it infertility) and we thought we'd be lucky if we could have 1 child. Well, we have our one but we want more! I have felt lately that I would feel truely blessed if we could have 3 kids come into our family through adoption. So I guess the simple answer to your question is that 3 is my minimum desire but don't be surprised if we try to adopt a couple more either through foster care later on down the road! We'll see what the future holds!
Kristin (one of my most favorite people ever!) asked: i would like to know favorite flavors of gum. ;)
So perhaps I was a bit cruel with throwing that out there....we really don't like gum. I'll chew it on an airplane to force my ears to pop but that's about it. If I must, then I love a good sour flavor...
and what would be your dream vacation?
I've kind of already had my dream vacation - Italy. It was fabulous. I would LOVE to do a Mediterranean cruise to Greece, Turkey, etc someday.
and your dream home?
My dream home includes a 2 story house (I've always wanted a 2 story house! We never needed one growing up because I was an only child....kind of a weird thing to want!). I want a huge open basement where our kids can have an air hockey table or foosball. I'd love it to be a fun basement where our kids want to invite their kids over often and have fun. It would also include a popcorn machine! My dream master bedroom would include a nice walk in closet, a sitting room area that opened up onto a little balcony. Let's also not forget the nice jacuzzi tub in the master bath. I also want a large backyard that is big enough for 4th of July water fights, a large swingset, and plenty of room for family bbq's and all the parties I want to host!
and what is your favorite lazy day activity?
I have so many..... I love going swimming. But if we're talking truely lazy (because going swimming with a 2 year old isn't so much lazy) I love to curl up with a great book on the couch with my windows open and enjoying the breeze outside. Another absolute favorite activity is to take a picnic up in the canyon. I so love being up there and enjoying the outdoors!

and finally, what is the greatest thing you have learned through the adoption process?
Oh so many things....I really can't narrow it down. This could be it's own post!
I have learned:
patience is a journey. love conquers all. the Lord may give us trials that seem unbearable but He makes things right in the end. waiting and waiting and waiting almost kills us but does seem to make us stronger. that you can love someone not of your blood so so so much and never think twice about them not being born through you. that it's ok to have days where you want to cry and give up but there's always a day filled with light right around the corner. that HOPE is the best 4 letter word I know. and FAITH is the best 5 letter word. and finally.... Adoption ROCKS. I have an amazing testimony of it and am eternally grateful for birthmoms who give so much to these children so they can have the world.

Oooo I love your lazy day. Cuddling up with a good book all day is totally my idea of fun. If you're still open to questions I'd love to know what your top 5 books are.
