Best 5 minutes all day. I cried. It's one of those days. I'm feeling especially grateful for adoption today and for amazing birthmothers who give so much to their children.
I just put Em down for her nap and we did our usual naptime routine - stories, giggling, singing, giggling, and if I'm lucky, a little bit of snuggling. Today I was extra lucky because she snuggled with me for several minutes. And while I held my daughter in my arms, tears rolled down my cheeks.
I love my daughter with all my heart. She is my sunshine. I am grateful to be her mother. And on days like today when I hold her and tears roll down my cheeks I think of her birthmom. And all I can say is thank you.

That was a beautiful video. I cried. My family 5 of the 10 kids in my family are adopted and I just know our family wouldn't have been complete without them.
