Welcome!

Later today our little family blog will be featured on Somewhat Simple
If you are a reader of Somewhat Simple and visiting our blog for the first time, welcome! I'm glad you stopped by!

I love crafting, adoption, and giveaways so I'm very grateful to Stephanie at Somewhat Simple for allowing me to share a little about our family with you.

We adopted Emma 2 1/2 years ago. She is absolute joy (with just a little terrible two's mixed in on the side!), and has brought our family infinite amounts of sunshine. We are very honored and grateful to be her parents.

We have been waiting to adopt again for 1 1/2 years now. Emma asks every day for a baby sister (although I'm sure she would love a baby brother as well). She absolutely loves babies and can't wait to be a big sister.

The other day Jeremy and I were babysitting a friend's little boy. Emmy had been napping when he came over. When Em woke up, she heard the baby cry out and immediately asked me "Did Santa bring me a sister?"

You might be asking what you can do. We get this question a lot. Often our friends and family think adoption is wonderful but it's not something they need to think about until we adopt our little one. It actually starts much earlier. We are asking for your help. Many adoptions happen because someone was willing to help a family spread the word. I can only talk to so many people in one day about adoption but if you do it, and then ask someone else to do it and that number continues to multiple then I have no doubt that we'll be able to find our birthmom.

Here is a list of things you can do to help our family:
*put our blog button on your blog
*write a blog post about us on your blog and ask your readers to pass it on
*write a message about our family on facebook and twitter, linking them to our lds family services profile or our adoption blog
*send an email out to friends and family asking them to do these same things
*if you know of someone looking into adoption - a birthmother, a birthgrandparent, an aunt to a birthmother, a sister, etc - share our profile and blog with them
*pray for our family

Help us get our information out there!

We love adoption. We love Em's birthmom and can't wait to have another birthmom to join our family. We don't know our next birthmom by name yet but we have been praying for her constantly over the last year and a half. We don't have to know her name to love her - we're already there!

Feel free to look around our blog to get to know us better. Check out our You Tube video! If you have any questions about our family feel free to email me at jeremyandleslie (at) netzero (dot) net or leave me a comment below.

Our family thanks you! We can't wait to bring another little one home!

I have a little boutique that I do to help save money for our second child and I have been sending out couple's pass along cards with my orders. If you have pass along cards please email me (meka.duane@gmail.com) and I will send you my address! I would love to include them in my orders! You just never know how it will all come together but it will! I hope it happens very soon too! Now I am off to enter your giveaway!!!
