Christmas Morning

(playing catch up from December 2010)

Apparently I was busy on Christmas day because I have very few pictures of our fun day. Kind of a bummer.

Here is Em with the doll Santa brought her. Thank you so much Santa for bringing a doll that cries, says "mama", needs feeding, and is constantly making noises. I guess since Santa couldn't make good on Em's wish of a baby sister that this was as close as he could get.

Santa's footprints and Rudolph's carrot remnants

Wearing 2 sets of pj's and loving her new pillow pet

Nana and Pop Pop's brought Em an authentic costume from Moscow, Russia. It's a gorgeous costume.

After a morning of opening presents, we went over to Leslie's parents house for Christmas brunch. We always have a traditional brunch with Christmas braid (sweet bread), potato casserole, ham, sparkling cranberry juice, eggs, hot chocolate, and more. We've eaten this on Christmas morning in our family for decades.

Our Christmas socks (stockings). On each gift was a note that said "Santa loves you because...."
We did socks with Leslie's parents, aunt, uncle and cousins.
